Sugar & Spice

Look what I scored at Goodwill this weekend!

{squeal}

Well, ok, it didn't look like this when I bought it...

It was more of a crusty old spice rack cupboard.....

I had already thrown the glass spice jars in the sink to scrub 'em
when I remembered to take a before picture.

Here's the How To:
*I took the door off the hinges
(I kept it & might paint it, decoupage something on it & hang it up by itself)
*Sanded it down & wiped it off
*Let The Boy spray paint it yellow
*Hammered in a few nails to hang my rusty keys on
*Nailed on the keyhole

~Voila~

New organization for the studio!

The slidey metal things are off a belt & the front two I had backed with Victorian pictures of girls & sealed closed. Those two were actually on necklaces & I decided the necklaces had been around long enough & the pendants needed a new home :)

I also remade a few other necklaces this weekend.
Do these look slightly familiar?

Used to be this...

& this~

Once was this...

I can't let things be for very long or I get tired of looking at them
...hmmm
...that might explain why I constantly change my hair color ..hehehe

Oh well what's old is made new again (again) !
Sugar & Spice & everything nice ;)

Speaking of sugar & spice, my mom & made thee most delicious coffee cake for church Sunday! I'm going to see if I can't get her to share the recipe with you birds as part of a giveaway I'm putting together for Mother's Day!

Something up my sleeve for later this week so fly on back :)

Smooches,

Wow the amazing jars were an awesome find on their own! But I love how you put your supplies in them, cute idea!
And I love the necklace re-dos, brilliant!

Wowza! I was just cleaning up my worktable (including a vial of spilled seed beads --eek!) I was thinking how I have more beads than you can shake a stick at, and yet I don't have nearly enough!!! Storage is a problem. I've already realized the wall is a great place. And I mean, beads are like decoration, especially in a handsome cabinet like you've come up with. Gotta get me to the thrift shops more often!
