Art Walker

~Greetings from the Boylan Heights Art Walk~
Also known as The day I froze my butt off outside for 6hrs :)
Why do I sign up for outdoor shows in December!?!
In all honesty it wasn't terribly cold (mid 40's)
& I did bring a coat & gloves so all was well!
But when I was closing up shop the temp dropped fast
{brrrrr}
& I barely escaped without frost bite ;)

The set up "Holiday-ized"
(new word!)!

~The standard "taa daa" pose~
{dork}

I decided I needed ornaments around 2pm Saturday so I whipped up these ditties all afternoon as if I had nothing else to do all day!{sheesh}

Close ups of my favorite 2...

3 words I like together...Ping-Pong-Bar!

& you had me at Chocolate :)

These are all made from a calendar I've had for years & couldn't throw away. They're repro vintage ad posters & super adorable!

& some new signage ....

~Eye Candy~
~Plate of steam punkyness~

Don't they look like candy!?!

I ran out of room {oopsy} & decided to make use of the porch floor. The stack on the left are craft gift boxes I wrapped in Anthro catalogs & stamped with my logo & a golden key {a brilliant idea I stole from this crafty gal & just had to do at around 11pm Saturday night instead of getting my beauty sleep for the art walk:) }.

I had thee best porch mates!
Marianne Conti Burt & her hubby Craig!
Not only amazing artists but thee nicest & most hilarious couple! We were kindred spirits & it made the cold just a little bit warmer!
Her lovely paintings
& repurposed pedestals...
Craigs Orchid painting.

&&&&&&
The house next door was inhabitated
by none other than this little lady!!
What???
You can't see her??? Maybe you need glasses :)
'tis her I promise, Emily & her mom popped over to say "Hi". It's so much fun running into them at shows, I think this is the 3rd or maybe 4th we've done together recently.

****************

Drop me a line about the best part of your weekend (even if it was just getting some snooze time!) & you'll be entered to win one of those ornanaments I slaved over this weekend! I love the ornaments! I have to say I chickened out on going to the Art Walk, it was just so cold, but I did spend the day cleaning the house. The highlight of the weekend was sleeping in and then making pancakes for breakfast!

It certainly looks as though it was cold out, but well worth braving it! Love all your little treasures. Eye candy indeed! I love the boxes from the Anthro catalogs---brilliant : )

Love your set up and your "taa daa" pose is super fabulous!

So you just whip up ornaments too huh? Is there anything you can't do? I think not!!

The eye candy is gorgeous and again, I wish I could climb through this screen and get my grubby little hands on some of your gorgeous pieces!

Well my friend...I could sure use a game of Ping-Pong-Bar anytime you're up for it...let me know. I also have a wonderful bottle of Cabernet that I've been waiting to open...love to share it with you! (Oh how I wish!)

Love and hugs,
Karyn
