Swoony Vintage Goodness

Do you ever get that
Urge in your spirit...
That calling to your soul...

A trill in your heart...

That longing deep in the hollows of your heart

& you JUST KNOW

Today
*This Day
*

Is thee day
to hit the thrift shops???

Yesterday was one of those delightful days...
~Thee most divine 1960's enameled brooches~

~Thee sweetest silly book~

~Swoony cross stitch throw~
(it's already found a home on my wingback chair)

I may have died & gone to vintage jewelry heaven

& then I hit the mother load of...

**Vintage fabric trim**
Mind you that I have no need for these other than to stare at for inspiration & perhaps work myself up into a frenzy anticipating embellishing pillows & skirts & wall hangings & whatever my antiquated heart can think up!

I may put some of it up for grabs in the vintage/supply shop as most of it came in rolls of 8 yards :)

*******************
I hit 3 shops in 2 hrs! Boy was I pooped after!!
(& late to pick up The Boy from school...oopsy!)

Do you birds have some favorite haunts you always go back to again & again?? The place that always has the best curated collection of collectibles ??

*************
Well my lovely birds I must take off...
Mama bird called & she just got back from the coast! She's loaded down with more treasures for deconstructing & weaving back together! I see another vintage post in the very near future :)

Wishing you a weekend full of
Sunshine & Creativity!

I will leave you with this...
a portrait of a girl
who had 15 minutes to kill
before heading out to sushi
with her girlfriends :)

{Good Girl Salutations}

Someone should really hide my camera!!
{giggle}

Love your finds! I stopped by a thrift store on my way home from work and picked up some J.Crew khakis, a pair of Dockers, and a pair of L.L. bean Khaki's...all for 5.25. I'd say I got a deal!!

What a wonderful treasure hunt you had at the thrift and gift stores. Yes, I do have different ones that seem to have some things I always need. I certainly never find such wonderful jewelry at any of my places. Maybe someone else gets it before me. LOL

Sounds like a fantastic day! There's a "Paris" flea market at an old drive-in theater in Dayton on Sunday mornings, but you gotta get there at 6am! Reminds me of those kinda days :)

I can never find any good thrift shops here. I guess I need to get out and look more.
