art + music + food = a free outdoor arts celebration

Rebus Works is excited to announce the third annual RebusFest, Sunday, May 17, from 1-6 pm. Featuring music by local bands, and art by North Carolina residents, RebusFest is a free community arts celebration. The event is family-friendly and all ages are welcome.

Performing at RebusFest are the Loners, Dirty Little Heaters, the Magic Babies, Kenny Roby's Mercy Filter, Tin Star, and DJ Midnite Cowbwoy.

Artists selling the work outside include Julie Armbruster, Matthew Barton, Gabriella Corter, Caroline Cobb Wright, Johanna Ely, Alli Good, Sonya Coulson Rook, Celia Gray, Sivana Gur, Abie Harris, Emily Soldin Howard, Curtis Kruger, Jared Lambert, Clifton May, Ronnie Tomany, and Lauren Turner. The work will range from painting to jewelry, textile art and attire, mixed-media sculpture, collage, and photography.

Food for sale will include sandwiches and snacks, and beer will be available from Carolina Brewing Company.

Rebus Works is small gallery located in the historic Boylan Heights neighborhood of Raleigh, North Carolina. Rebus Works is operated by artists for artists, and is committed to exhibiting innovative works of fine art and high craft, presenting both local and national artists. Rebus Works was established in 2003, and also presents special arts and community functions. Functioning as both a gallery and the home of pH seven fine art framing, Rebus Works is open Tuesday through Friday, 11-6pm, Saturday from 1-4pm, and each First Friday from 6-10pm.
