Charmed Life

Sometimes if you want to hold on

you've got to let go...

I've been hoarding these bits of baubles for quite awhile!
(some of them for years! shhhhhh don't tell!)

I was afraid to use them because
then they'd be gone....
Until today...

I was finally able to let go...

Piece by piece,
letting them take turns in the spotlight
& now I can breathe again
Deep sighs of relief

Holding them in my hand
the weight of them as they drip down my wrist

They now hold their own
amongst the other salvaged bits of yesteryear.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

The Charmed Life collection will hit the shop
Monday July12th
(after a debut at a trunk show this weekend)

EDIT: There are up for grabs right here now!

Each charm bracelet is OneOfAKind
& converts easily from bracelet to necklace & back again!

Hope you've had a Charmed Week ;)

I've been meditating on this quote the later half of the week...

"It may be hard for an egg to turn into a bird: it would be a jolly sight harder for it to learn to fly while remaining an egg. We are like eggs at present. And you cannot go on indefinitely being just an ordinary, decent egg. We must be hatched or go bad."C. S. Lewis

Spread your wings my dearest birds!

These are beautiful! It's funny that you did this post, because I just pulled out my old charm bracelet today. My mum used to give me charms for birthdays or at the completion of something special. So many memories came back to me as I looked at each charm.

Yours are gorgeous. I love that they convert into a necklace! I hope all is well with you. :)

Hi Johanna-

Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog about the chalkboard paint. I am not sure your landlord would like the chalkboard wall or not, but it is a great place to put one.

I just love your vintage designs and the fact that they are convertible - clever. I have trouble giving up my treasured finds sometimes - you become attached to them as you put so much effort into each design you make with them. Your pieces are beautiful.
I hope you had a successful trunk show.
My best- Diane

Those are amazing!!! I know what you mean about hanging on to certain pieces. Like most crafty ladies, my weakness is my vintage button collection. I'm supposed to be using them in my embroidery work, but if I used them, they'd be gone forever! And it's not like I can just trot down to Michaels and pick up another package, you know??
